TOPIC: Cannot edit .printlink style

Cannot edit .printlink style 4 years 1 month ago #51123

Hello,

I'm trying to access the CSS code which controls the .printlink class, i.e. the "Print your answers." link on the completed page.

I'm working in a copy of the Limespired template. The standard anchor code enforces an underline which changes style on :hover. However, the "Print your answers." link doesn't seem to have an underline (although it is right at the bottom of a division with a border of the same colour). Also, it is centrally aligned. I cannot find the code which stipulates these changes and my own attempts to reformat it with the following code are not taking effect.
.printlink {
  color: rgb(#F00);
}

If anyone knows how I can access the style for this anchor I'd be very grateful for a heads up. :)

You aren't specific enough with your style. Try:
a.printlink {
  color: #F00;
}
However, the "Print your answers." link doesn't seem to have an underline
The underline is hidden by the containing div border. Add some padding to the container by changing:
.survey-assessment,.survey-completed {
  text-align: center;
  border: 1px solid #00677d;
  background: #f0fdff;
}
To:
.survey-assessment,.survey-completed {
  text-align: center;
  border: 1px solid #00677d;
  background: #f0fdff;
  padding: 5px;
}

Hi Tony,

I made these changes, emptied my browser cache and tested the survey again. I can't see any change, either in link colour or container padding.

I'm using IE8 - does this version still have box model issues with margins/padding?

That's odd, it works for me in IE8 (see below). Have you tried in Firefox?

Hi Tony,

Tried it on Firefox when I got home and saw the changes. IE8 on my work laptop is playing nice again, now, too. :huh:

So I was able to style the printlink as I needed to.

Many thanks.
