Am using 1.87, IE8/Firefox 3.

When attempting to save a survey, clicking on either the Save Now button or Return to Survey link produces an "IE cannot display the webpage"/"index.php could not be found" error.

The URL that appears in the status bar when I hover over the button/link appears to be //index.php. Presumably this needs to be changed?

I note that the save function does actually work - it is possible to resume the survey later. However, not only is there no notification displayed on screen, there is no confirmation of save sent by email either, so the user will not know they have successfully saved their survey, nor how to resume it.

Any assistance appreciated.

1. Please post the URL you use to call the admin login.
2. What did you set for $rooturl in config.php?

Would really appreciate some help with this if anyone has time - I need to get this survey up and running by Monday 16th.

The rooturl doesn't need a trailing slash, but I don't think that is the real problem. Check your server logs to see if there are any errors, or try changing the config to set $debug=1 and report back.

It seems the trailing slash was actually the real problem - removing it has solved the issue.

Many thanks!

Hi,

I seem to have a similar problem and when I set debug to 1 I get the following message

Fatal error: Call to undefined function ctype_alnum() in /data3/homes/[..]/limesurvey/classes/inputfilter/class.inputfilter_clean.php on line 8

Do you maybe know what the problem is?

Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem, using the latest release Version 1.91+ Build 10315, and it is not the trailing slash issue. The save/resume feature works fine, but no pop up and getting invalid address when hit resume later button, but it does actually save answers.
