I've noticed, if you have added an "Other" option on to your label set, you cannot later select that in a condition that shows/hides a later question. It doesn't appear on the list.

Is there a way around this? I need the "Other" option to display that little text box next to it so just creating an option in my label set called "Other" is OUT!

Don't really unterstand what you mean with adding other to the labelset.

There is the other answer option which add a Textbox to the question. But that isn't related to the labelset. Or did you just entered "other" in one item of the labelset and expected that limesurvey creates a textbox behind it?

Which version are you using? 1.87+?
Which questiontype?
Do you miss the other option in your question items? Yes/No

You can add the "other answer" under via "Option 'Other': Yes No and under "advanced settings" you can finetune the Option 'Other'.

The option "other" will be shown in the conditions as filter.

Ok, I now have some visual aids...

Picture one is of the survey. Look how there are TWO "Other" options. One that has been written in by myself. And one that was an extra when creating the question in LimeSurvey - see picture two.

Picture three is the display when trying to add a condition on to a later question using that "other" option. Take a look.

"Oh my God! But where is my "Other" option in this list? How will people be able to fill out this further question if they select 'Other'... I'm in trouble, I better submit a question to the LimeSurvey team!"

I see the problem and can reproduce it but I'm not sure if it's a bug or a missing feature.

Please open a ticket at the bugtracker and...

1. Give as much information as possible

2. Attach your survey. You can mark your ticket "private" so that only the developers will be able to take a look at it.

3. Provide step-by-step instructions how to reproduce the problem.

4. If possible/helpful please provide screenshots

Afterwards please post the link to the bugtracker so we can follow the progress.

whats a limesurvey build number?

The four digit number that is shown at the bottom of the admin page.

I don't suppose you want to do it for me? I've tried 3 times to submit but it won't. Says something like - "are you sure you haven't already submitted it and are mubmitting it again"

Are you logged in when entering the bugtracker?
We synchronized forum, wiki/manual and bugtracker usernames and passwords. Please set a new password by clicking your username in the forum and chosing edit -> update your profile -> contact info. This way everything will get synchronized and you should be able to log in.
