Limit answers option in a "select one" (radio button) based on previous questio was created by gyts
Hi i have a problem and i want to know if its posible to do with lime survey.
I have to questions, the number one a numerical imput to enter the persons age, and the number to a select one question to enter the age range of the person. So i want to limit the answers or preselect if its posible, on the second question based on the numerical imput. Because i have a lot of cases that the people enters their age range wrong and they are messing with the quotas.
Thanks
For example:
P1_ Whats your age? (numerical imput)
25
P2_ indicate age range
1- 18 to 29 <----this is te only possible answer.
2- 30 to 40
3- 41 and plus

You can...
1) Use Expression Manager to set the default answer for the question - manual.limesurvey.org/Question_type_-_Li...alues_.28defaults.29
2) Use the Expression Manager assignment operator in an equation question to set the radio question - manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager..._Assignment_Operator

I assume that you need the second question only for the purpose of screening.
In this case I would actually go a very different way.
What you can do is hide the second question and use Expression Manager as Tpartner suggested to set the answer in the age range questions and can then apply quotas to this question.
Because people will think it is strange that you ask them twice about their age.
