Allow editing of answers after completion was created by mascarpone
Hi Folks!

Strange it seems like this features has disappeared?! I'm on version 2.05 Build 140821 and can simply not find it - any idea?

Saw it discribed in various documents although those were on earlier versions (1.9x...)

Merci and sorry if I missed the obvious,

Only found it here:

knowledgebase.mcgill.ca/media/pdf/myMcGi...survey-userguide.pdf

But it clearly does not show up in my "Notifications and data management" section nor in the other sections under "Survey settings"

Hmmm from what I see it seems it has been replaced by

"Allow multiple responses or update responses with one token?"

But that is turned to YES - and yet, a survey that has been competed/submitted can not be accessed. If omebody confirms this is a mis-behaviour I'm happy posting that to the bug tracker,

Thanks!

Hmmm just for info this seems to be working fine on other instances of LimeSurvey - so probably a problem on my side only - will keep you posted,

Sorry for false alert if that's the case ;)

Just as a wrap up message on this - and in case this points out to a deeper issue:

From further tests it turns out that everytime I connect to the survey (via tokenized url), the system automatically populates the submitdate field (with the date/time at which I connected) - and from there on I can no longer access it...

I have deleted the submidate and changed the completed status from YES to NO - from the token table and from the Db directly - but nothing to do: one click on the tokenized-url and the survey is closed again...

Now I have seen this behaviour on that one survey only: tests with other surveys worked fine.

For allow editing after completion you need:
- No anonymous
- Enable token persistence

Hi Denis, always around to support, many thanks!

I think the settings are ok here, but I have narrowed the issue further: this mis-behaviour is only seen for answers that are not "manually" competed: in that survey, if you answer "NO" to the 4th question than none of the other questions show up and the survey takes you to the "post completion" message "Thank you blablabla..."

In that case, impossible to come back to the survey and edit it ;)

If the answer is fully completed manually - then the survey allows me back in for edits...

There is an easy way around I guess, by simply adding one last question (probably a text display too) which will show up also when answer to question 4 is NO, so that then the user manually presses "Submit". However I wanted to point that out in case you would want to investigate further the issue,

Thanks!

Ok, think this is actually normal behaviour (although quite unexpected), thanks to Sam who I just had on the phone. What happens is that when reopening the page with "question4" LimeSurvey interprets my answer to question4 "on the fly" which results in none of the other questions being relevant - and LS therefore takes me to the end of the questionnaire - preventing me from editing.

I'll then simply add a question group & "display text" question at the end of the questionnaire with relevance=1 to prevent that ;)
