Randomly allocate participants to a subset of questions was created by kokosjuul
Hi there,
I have not used LimeSurvey before and am just getting my bearings.
After searching the forum, I did not find the answers to two questions I have:
1. Can participants be randomly allocated to a subset of questions in the survey?
That is, I will have multiple questions that need to be answered by all participants, and then for a group of questions, I would like to have half of participants answer a specific subgroup, and the other half another subgroup. Basically it's about creating two experimental groups.
2. Can I assign items within a group of questions in random order?
Thanks very much!

Thanks Ben_V, this will allow random presentation of groups.
Still looking for a way to present questions within a group randomly. Perhaps this can be done by defining each question as a separate group, although this seems a little less straightforward.
As for randomizing experimental groups, I will have to think about another way I guess.
Thanks for your help!

You should have look at the manual =>
EM Sample Surveys
( #10, #11, #12)... there is some sample surveys with random questions

thanks, will have a look when I have more time. So far I only see random order of groups, and a random subset of questions in a group, but not exactly what I'm looking for. Will have a closer look soon. Thanks!
