Hello,

I'm trying to setup a survey where questions include informations derived from the Zipcode provided by the respondent. There are various ways to get these informations, for instance the city or the congressional district, with APIs. Is there a way to make an API query and include its result as a replacement field in LimeSurvey?

I'm using LimeSurvey 2.00+ build 130802

Thank you.
Thomas.

I don't understand "include its result as a replacement field".

I imagine you will need to access the API directly with JavaScript or with an AJAX call.

Hi,

Yes, that's the conclusion I came to. It's okay in my case, but it can be a problem to use a client-side JavaScript workaround if you need to provide an API key. That's not my case here, but I wouldn't have an API key travel to the client.

Thanks.
