Our stoopid database is currently having issues in the UTF-8 character range. I have seen some scripts on the Internet that would give a popup alert to the user that would let the user know that their input was being changed to ASCII (removing all bad characters).

Anybody have any ideas on how to implement this for any open text field (including textareas) in LimeSurvey?
The administrator has disabled public write access.
