My survey is live, but it seems like a large number of people aren't getting a confirmation e-mail sent.

When I beta tested, it worked flawlessly on the computer I designed the survey on, using a fake account.

When other people try it, confirmation emails aren't being sent out.

Any advice on what I might be doing wrong would be amazing.

The mail are not sent or not received ?

Did you have access to the mail log ?

I'm not sure. Is the mail log through limesurvey or through my web host? I'm sure I do have access, just don't know how to get there.

I'm not sure if this is unrelated or not, or if I'm even in the right section for this kind of help, but further troubleshooting has found that once people complete the survey, it doesn't neccesarily mark it as being completed (but it does for some) in the token management section even though it is marked as completed in responses and statistics.

I'm wondering if it not being completed in Token management is causing it to not send out the confirmation e-mail.

If the problems are related, does anyone have any advice on how to fix the new issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure you'll be sick of me soon (if not already), but adding another bit into the equation I've noticed that people who do the survey 2x are getting the confirmation after completing in their second time.

Could the use left being set at 2 mess up the confirmation going out?

Hello,

LimeSurvey doesn't have a log file. If you have problems with the confirmation emails it might be a good idea to have a look at the log file of your mail server (or ask your web hoster for help if you can't access the log or don't know how to do it).

If I'm correct "completed" in the Token management is set to a date value if your token counter reaches 0. So the response itself in the answer table can be complete but if you have one or more token counts left your token is still not complete.

If you can reproduce the problem with token count 2 and the confirmation email it might be a good idea to open an issue at bugs.limesurvey.org/ so a developer can have a look at it. He/She can tell you if it should be this way or if it is a bug that needs to be fixed.
