TOPIC: Partial mandatory ranking

Partial mandatory ranking 2 years 8 months ago #74764

Hi!

I have a ranking of 5 in my survey. This question is mandatory. But I would like the rank to be partially mandatory, e.g. that the respondents would have to rank AT LEAST one answer. They would not have to rank ALL five answers.

In the settings, I set the question to "mandatory" and, in the advanced setting, I set the minimum answer to 1 and maximum answer to 5. However, when I test it, it requires the ranking of 5 as mandatory. What can I do?

Thanks!

Marie

No cross postings please. We always recommend to use the english forums since more people can give a helping hand there.

If you receive an answer to a topic you posted twice, please add it at the second topic as well.

Thanks!

OK, no problem, I'll add this to the french topic.

Thanks Schnouille. It works... I just don't have the red * that means this is a mandatory question and this confused some of my "testers", but I guess nobody's perfect! ;-)

This might be a template specific issue. If you switch to the "default" template, it should be shown there?!

You can add the red asterisk to the beginning of your question text.

No,

The red asterisk are here only for "mandatory" question, not for min-answers question :).

Maybe a feature for 2.0 ;)

As long as there is some "You have to tick at least X items" hint, I think this is fine.
