TOPIC: Expiration date in invitation mail (1.92)

Expiration date in invitation mail (1.92) 2 years 8 months ago #73097

How do I put the expiration date in an invitation email? I thought I could do it with {EXPIRY} , but that does not work.
And is it in this release possible to use EM expressions in emails? If yes: how (I asked this before, and as far as I understood it would be included).

1. If EXPIRY isn't replaced properly, please file a bug report.

2. You should be able to use EM in emails. It should already be avilable at 1.92 RC3. Please give it a try and report back.

EM in mails (was: Expiration date in invitation mail (1.92)) 2 years 8 months ago #73194

Indeed, both EXPIRY and EM works. I made some other errors.
Thanks

Hello,

do you have an example for an invitation email using the ExpressionManager? It might be a good idea to add this to the ExpressionManager HowTos article in the documentation.

If I can help you: the following example of EM in a mail works:
Dear{if (ATTRIBUTE_2=='M','hr',if (ATTRIBUTE_2=='V','mw','hr/mw'))} {LASTNAME},
Please fill-in the questionnaire before {EXPIRY}

Of course it can be much more complicated. It is not possible to use question values, only tokens and attributes.
I think in emails you should never use html, but it works in html email as well in ascii mail. In html you are helpted with the spelling of the variables, in ascii you have to write it by hand.
EXPIRY is the expiration date of the questionnaire, not the expiration date that you give up as a token (I do'nt know whether this is a bug or a feature)
Last Edit: 2 years 8 months ago by fransmarcelissen.

Please add a note that such tailoring is possible for emails since version 1.92 at docs.limesurvey.org/Tokens&structure=Eng...+LimeSurvey#Emailing and also add your example at docs.limesurvey.org/Expression+Manager+H...tions+for+LimeSurvey

That is intended behavior.

Thank you. I added a tailoring example for the invitation email using this and the existing Mr/Mrs example from TMSWhite:
