I have a number of questions with tooltips (ex: Please select one of the following).

For aesthetic reasons, I'd like to turn off these tooltips.

They can be turned off individually if I go into a question, go to the advanced settings, and select "Hide tip".

Doing this for each question by hand will be pretty time consuming... is there a way I could select a number of questions and turn the tooltips off for all of them at once?

You can use CSS to hide the question tip. You can either hide them by question type or by question ID.

Note, the following examples are for the default template and may need to be modified for others.

1) To hide tips in all questions by type (multiple-options in this case) add the following to the end of template.css:
.multiple-opt .questionhelp {
	display: none;
}

2) To hide the tip by question ID, add something like this, where 11 and 22 are the question IDs:
#question11 .questionhelp,
#question22 .questionhelp {
	display: none;
}

Please have a look at ideas.limesurvey.org, there should already be a feature request for this so please vote for it.

Sounds like a good idea, I upvoted it.

Thanks, if you find anything else you consider worth being implemented, just support the idea.

Hm. The thing is I do want a tooltip if it's a checkbox question, I just want to hide the tooltext when it's radio buttons, since any unnessecary text leads to study fatigue, and it's obvious from the UI that a radio button must select only one (whereas the fact a response allows multiple checkboxes to be selected could be missed)

Is there a specific CSS catagory for radio buttons, check boxes, etc?

I could probably add two rules - one to hide tips for radio buttons, and one to hide for any free text, and that would cover it.

If that's not possible, I guess I would write out individual rules for each question ID.
