From my experience, the radio and checkbox elements are somewhat small and hard to tick on such small screens. That's why I created a special iPad template which uses Javascript to place larger images on these elements. You can
have a look at a demo survey.
In the long run, since more and more tablets will have internet access, so using Limesurvey via the tablet browser will be a nice and easy solution. For such cases a template which was optimized for iPads/tablets is available at the
