Hello everyone,

I'm making a survey system for our school.
One of the wishes of the school is that the surveys are personal.

What i mean is that every student gets 1 survey for all the courses he/she is doing.

Example:

Student A takes course1 and course2
Student B takes course1 and course3

At the end of the course period, student A should get 1 survey containing questions about course1 and course2, and student B should get questions about course1 and course3.

Is this possible? And is it relatively easy to do? I have programming experience.

Thanks!

Hello,

I think it's more an "organisation" problem.

I think you can trye something with endurl, token and token attribute.

For example, the token attribute 1 give the next survey number, or something similar.

Well, this is possible. You just exclude the questions that are not relevant via conditions. However, depending on the amoung of questions per course and the number of possible courses, this can be quite complicated to set up.

You can pass on the information about which courses should be shown via the token and custom attributes.
Have a look at the manual! It is a really valuable source for information. Here some helpful links:

Thank you very much!

Your replies were very usefull.

I'm going to use conditions and custom attributes to make it work, but now i found another problem.

When i want to make a condition for a certain question, i can let it depend on the previous question, or on token fields. But i cant click the token fields tab. Is there a way to 'activate' it? Or is there a way to write conditions in code?

Thanks!

Ok i found out how to do it.

The survey cant be anonymous to use these token fields, obviously

But i want the surveys to be anonymous..

Does anyone know how to solve this one?

Thanks!

A survey, where you know who is participating and where you can pass on data about this participant to the survey can NEVER be "anonymous".

You have already data that you can attach to a certain person and with that, they survey is not anonymous.

In general, if you treat the data right and don't connect personal data with results later on in the analysis, I don't see a major problem anyway. The results are still analyzed anonymously and based on the whole sample and not on a single person.

I think you are interpreting too much into this "anonymous" feature. Data protection is what you make out of it.
