Hi, wonder if anyone can answer this for me.

We have a LimeSurvey set up for a client and they are concerned because there are gaps in the sequence of response ID numbers and they are worried they are missing responses. IDs will go, for example, 58, 59 then 61, skipping 60. I've checked the MySQL database and this shows the same missing IDs.

I could understand it if these ID numbers had been used before, somehow, because the ID must be unique, but they haven't.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

thanks

slippy,

i think that happens when someone starts the survey and then clicks the "exit and clear" button.
That ID was used and then delete from the database.

Yep, that's the one. The gaps match times when the questions were being tested so looks like that button was used to stop the tests affecting true results.
Thanks for the feedback
