Hi,
All the questions of my survey will have a previous question where the respondent can auto-evaluate his knowledge about the subject. How can I connect the two corresponding questions so that the answer gets more or less weight depending on the auto-evaluation-question.

Thanks

Have a look at Expression Manager - manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager

You can create Equation type questions and load them according to the results from previous questions.

Hi tpartner,

Thanks for your idea. I had a look at EM, but is seams that I can not influence the weight of the answer. Or at least I can not see how. In some cases it might be possible with calculations, but in the following for example, I think it's not possible:

I let people order something by priority in question 1. Lets say respondent_1 answers first priority A) and second priority B) and respondent_2 says first priority B) and second priority A). Then in question 2 they indicate their knowledge about the subject. Lets say responden_1 says he has little knowledge and respondent_2 says he has deep knowledge about the subjet. So the statistical answer would be: B) has the higher priority
Because the answer of respondent_2 has more weight.

I think I will export the answers and do it in excel.

You should be able to use an Equation question for this.

Something like (this is not the correct syntax):

if Q2 = "little knowledge", QEquation = Q1 x 1

if Q2 = "deep knowledge", QEquation = Q1 x 1
