I'm trying to add a question that applies to 5 different scenarios and for each scenario user has to pick one of 10 answers. I was thinking of doing a matrix with 5 rows (for scenarios) and a dropdown box to select one of 10 answers for each row. the answers are too wide to be spelled out for radio buttons matrix. I tried matrix dual-scale with dropdown option, and that's just what I need - only I only need one scale!!! Looks like there is no question type like that, but maybe a workaround? anything other than typing 5 different questions with drop down boxes each?

imagine the one from the wiki docs.limesurvey.org/img/wiki_up/1_DSC_DD.jpg - with 5 rows instead of three, and only "satisfaction" drop box (no "importance"). I've tried to leave the second scale blank, but it doesn't work really.

To my knowledge this isn't possible.

You can add this as a feature request to the bugtracker . Please describe your problem/solution as detailed as possible.
