This is currently not possible.
However the basics for implementing DB based sessions are already existing in LimeSurvey - it just needs to be implemented completely.
You may consider to sponsor this feature if you are using LimeSurvey professionally.

I remeber a user having customized Limesurvey to store session data in a database. He has written about it in the forum, maybe you can still find it somewhere.

Denny, if you want to sponsir development of a new feature please open a new ticket at our idas tracker (ideas.limesurvey.org/) and state that you are interested in a quote for implementing this feature.
To search the forum try "session handling", "store session", "session + database" and similar terms but this is just a rough guess.
