Hello everyone

My aim is to have a dropdown-question where the participant can select the city where he's from. Finally, there are about 400 cities to register. So, I don't have the intention to write each city into the answer by hand... Rather I'd like to import the cities from the excel-list I already have. For that, I registered 3 cities, exported the file (see export-file) and wanted to adjust the necessairy colum.
BUT the Problem is that as soon the File is opened with MS Excel (I didnt't change anything in the file and then saved it as a comma-separated csv-file (import.csv)) I can't (re)import the file because I get the error "You can't import a question which doesn't support the current survey's base language". Without open the file with excel and just importing it again, everthing runs smoothly.
I tried to solve the problem by doing the following things:
- changed the base language (English and German)
- saved the excel-file as other types of csv.
- searched the forum/web for help.

I guess, the problem is around MS Excel.
But I haven't found a solution. Maybe you have it.

Thanks for your support.

Think best is to use directly the "Quic add" function.

Just paste something like this:
CODE1;Name of the firts town
CODE2;Name of the second town
etc ...

Thx for your answer.

Meanwhile, I've got exactly what I was looking for=) With the description from the following link I could edit the question as I wanted.
