I'd like to use some bold text in the exit message that survey-takers see when they exit the survey after a set quota has been reached, but haven't been able to manage it. There are no boardcodes accompanying the text box on the survey page for editing the quota, and using HTML seems to have no effect. (I guess Limesurvey recognizes the HTML as code, since the angle brackets and the letters they bracket do not show up in the survey as text--but they don't do their intended function either.)

Of course I can still manage spacing and paragraph formatting without code, and, if I have to, can use CAPS instead of boldface, but it would be nice to have the full options.

We're using version 2.00, Build 121213. I know there are more recent builds, but those in charge do not want to update now--too high-risk given our time pressures.

Is the XSS filter switched off?

I haven't the slightest idea--don't even know what that is, unfortunately. (I've been learning Limesurvey for more knowledgeable folk who need a survey done but don't have time to do it themselves.)

If you have admin check this: Global settings -> Security, set "Filter HTML for XSS"

Backup all files and database & update;
More less crash risk than (now fixed) bugs

OK--yes, I have admin. Filter HTML for XSS is set at "yes". I'm loathe to mess with it when I don't really know what I'm doing, given the dire warnings on the page about "Limesurvey will break and you won't be able to access it"!

It would be nice to be rid of the few bugs we've found in Build 121213, but we'll probably work with what we have for now, since this survey really has to launch very soon. Unlikelihood of problems in switching builds at this point does not mean guarantee of no problems! So, we'll be conservative until our next survey.
