Hi, I have a questions. Suppose I have two surveys. One is done and after several months, I need to do the second survey. How can I use the answers from the first survey to pre-fill the second survey?

Thanks and best wishes!

Hello,
I would like to extend the question.
It is possible to let the user of a survey choose from a list of "up to now" given answers - or - if there is no
matching answer available in the moment, add a new one.
Example:
What is your favorite fruit
drop down with the answers given: eg banana, orange, cherry
or input another fruit which you like

I hope I explained my question understandable, my knowledge in English could be better :-)

Thanks
Karsten

There is no built-in facility in LimeSurvey access previously submitted cases, either in the current or other surveys. You will need to make an AJAX call to a remote PHP script that queries the database.

thank you,
I have no problem to write an ajax query and i have no problem to write a php-script
which does the db-query.
But I have no idea how to integrate the ajax part into a survey.
Does there exist an interface to solve this task?
A short search via google leads not to a result. I have problems to find the
right words for my question when using google.

You can place your JavaScript in the source of a question or group description - manual.limesurvey.org/Workarounds:_Manip....29_in_LimeSurvey.3F
