Good question. We too intend to use it on a survey that lasts around 60 minutes.

andreibogdan: what specifications did the PDA had, so that you were able to use Limesurvey please?

We're currently deciding which PDA to choose.

Thanks
Regards

Hi,

Thank you very much. I do have an HP IPAQ 114 in hand on which i can try Limesuvey. I would really appreciate if you can tell me the procedure you used to install and use Limesurvey on the PDA.

We did manage to install and use Limsurvey on a PC and it worked perfectly, however we do not know what we should do to use Limesurvey on a PDA.

Thank you for your help!

The occasion when we had problems was done usign an HTC (?) smartphone, the other occasion I don't know about the device. Neither were mine, so I don't have details. But, as I've said, I don't think it's the device as such that matters as much as the browser and its javascript capabilities.

Regards.

Sorry, I seem to have misunderstood: I was talking only about completing a survey from a phone where the survey is on a server. I have no experience trying to run LimeSurvey on the PDA where the PDA is the server. That would require installing PHP, a suitable database, a web server, etc. on the PDA to meet the installation requirements.

Regards.

LS2 is looking to support mobile platforms. We will likely target mobile platforms will full web browser capabilities (e.g. iPhone). Most of the issues will be css related, although there will need to be some consideration for javascript limitations on such devices.

We currently to not have a time table for LS2 supporting mobile devices. LimesSurvey2 is schedule for an aplha3 release Wednesday.
