We have been using LimeSurvey (v 1.52) for 6 months and just now, the company responsible for the database and application storage warned us that we won't be able to use it anymore, because they can't give the database user permission to create or drop table in the database. So now, everytime we need to activate a survey there's a message "DB error Command denied to user ... for table ...". I told them that if we can't do this we can't use the LimeSurvey; they answered that's a policy in the company: database users only may have permission to select, update, insert, delete and execute commands. Is this true? How can I argue with them about it? What can I say in LimeSurvey defense? I'm sure you must have thought about it.
I'm not sure if you can help me, but it's worth trying. Peopole here really liked the system and we wouldn't like to give up on it now...

This company's policies suck. There is no reason why a user shouldn't have rights to create tables. Due to the limesurvey architecture this is essential to run the program.

Tell them if they won't give you the right to create databases you'll switch to another service.
