Mantis bug report Forbidden 4 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 8
Hi,

I've been trying to report a bug. Mantis shows me as logged in. All I get on submission is

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /bug_report.php on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered

Tried different browsers, cleared cookies & cache (and got as project selector never seen before - but no luck, always same error.

I'm stuck.

Regards.

Some users have had the same problems before. Sometimes re-loadung the page (F5) helps. Sometimes using the direct link is the better way: www.limesurvey.org/component/option,com_...s/Itemid,90/lang,en/

In the forums I found discussions about problems logging in to Mantis. I log in OK, it's only when I hit the submit button on a bug report that I get the permission problem. Nothing I try - and I've tried everything I can think of including pwd change and relogin - makes a difference. I appear to be logged in fine, but cannot submit a report.

Still stuck.

Regards.

I'll try to investigate what else might be the reason.

Thanks, I'd appreciate it.

FWIW, I tired from another PC that's never been near the LS sites before, cleared cookies & cache before, tried via login on LS homepage and login on Mantis page - and the same problem persists. So it appears that I'm persona non grata on the Mantis system.

Regards.

Just a very rough guess: Maybe your IP (if it's the same on both PCs) is on some kind of blacklist?

I had a 403 error when trying to access a certain bug and pressing "F5" reloaded the page correctly.

For a moment I thought you might be onto something with the blacklist since I might appear to be coming from the proxy's IP#. But I did try with 3 different proxies which have very different IP#s. Not impossible, but it seems unlikely that someone has gotten us blacklisted under all three #s. And I imagine the only one who could tell/fix that would be the admin of the Mantis system.

Regards.
