[done] How to change Survey Title 5 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Hi,

1. I made a survey and now I want to change its title.....In Edit Current Survey screen this facility is not provided....
Is it possible to change Survey Title?

2. At the time of Importing a survey I am not able to change the Survey name....
Is there a way to change Survey name at the time of Importing?

Thanks,
Deepesh

Assuming you are using the latest version ... If you go to your admin section and click the 'edit survey' button you will be presented with a screen where you can edit your survey details.

On the first Edit Survey - Step 1 of 2 page, just click the 'Save and continue' button at the bottom and you will get the screen you need to change the title.

Thanks gmaddockgreene,

I am using V 1.7 of Lime Survey.

1 more thing is there, when I Import the Survey with new Survey Title, it throws an Error:

Error
Import of this survey file failed
File does not contain LimeSurvey data in the correct format.

Will I be allow to give new title at the time of importing ?

Thanks,
Deepesh

Actually Deepdesh you are right. It does throw an error! Mazi is this a reported bug in 1.7?

@ Mazi - I have added to the wiki (I think!)

Thanks for pimping our manual!

You probably opened the .csv file with excel, edited and saved it?!
Problem is that excel breaks the data format. Try editing the exported file using notepad or open office calc. This should work fine. It's not a bug but a bad excel-behavior.
Nevertheless I recommedn to change the title by importing the survey as is and following the steps gmaddockgreene mentioned.

Why don't you rename the title the way it was suggested by gmaddockgreene?

When I export the survey as a .csv file, open it with wordpad, change the survey title and save it the import works fine.

Please upgrade to the latest release. A lot of errors have been fixed in the latest release.
More information:
- Download latest release
- Upgrade instructions

@ Mazi - I think this is a bug. I have reported anyway ID 02119. I too can replicate this error without changing exported XML or cvs data.

Strange I am using latest release also!
