Not sure if this is the correct place to discuss this but here it goes anyway.

I know there is a user manual available to go through the features of limesurvey.
However I wam wondering if anyone has come across any tutorials/objective guides that teach people how to develop surveys.

So far I have been unable to find anything.

Does anyone know of any documents out there or do they think that something like this would be beneficical?

If no documentation exists I would be interested(time permitting) in maybe developing some tutorials myself.

Things along the lines of:
How to modify and/or create your own templates
How to create a closed-access survey from start to finish


Any thoughts people?

Sounds great! We are always looking for user who help us improving the manual.

There is some documentation on what you mentioned but it could be better. For example we have a video tutorial. Unfortunately it is only available in German. As far as I know it should be possible to translate the tooltipps. If this is what you were thinking of it would be great if you helped us to translate this tutorial.

Furthermore there is a request to create a workflow chart.

Some more "basic" stuff:
- more videos, unfortunately they are very old
- Template Editor
- Templates & Styles

We appreciate any kind of help. As you can see there is much room for improvement.

I like the idea of the video tutorials, any idea of what software was used to create them?

As I said my input would be restricted due to time constraints but any progress I do make I would be more than happy to share with the limesurvey community.

The software used for the German video tutorial is called "Wink". See www.debugmode.com/wink/

first of all - thx a lot for this nice open source program. I'm really exited about this - this is exactly what I was looking for .

I was looking for some helpful video tutorials but there is not much to find. So I figured out the first steps with lime survey 1.80 RC2 and made a video tutorial by myself. Hope you find this helpful or useful. Don't know whether this should be added (linked) in your limesurvey wiki - and if yes - how to add it. So I leave it in your hands to handle this if u like it and find it useful.

Just saw (and mailed this issue to ElMatador) that somebody donwloaded this video from my link and uploaded it again on youtube. His youtube name is "limeservice" - strange - I would have expected that - if it was some one from this community - that he would have asked. But anyway - seems to be someone outside of this community here - so please feel free to use it for your purposes.

If I can be of any help here (maybe in creating other video tutorials) just let me know. If I have enough time - I would do it !

Since I have seen that you created an overview on how survey -> group -> questions work together I would like to point you to this task which I consider very important because lots of users don't know how all the elements within limesurvey work together.

It would be a great help if you can create a workflow chart as mentioned in the wiki to have an overview!
