passing arguments for login 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
hi guys,

i'm trying to find a way to port limesurvey with wordpress; there seems to be very little both in posts in the forum or on the web... not very much in terms of useful details.

i guess that people with a good knowledge of php could create a plugin (if anyone would like to volunteer i will consider funding it!), but for now i'd be happy to use a simple cross-login system, therefore a question for the more tech-savvy: can i pass username and password directly in the login script? how would this look like?

is there anyone that actually tried to use an external user database to authenticate user in limesurvey? i don't need to share the db, the user list will be maintained manually in limesurvey, but simply verify that the user/pwd is there.

any suggestion or practical guide would be very much appreciated, thanks!

What do you want to achieve with this? Can you add a few words about the advantages?

To discuss technical questions like this I recommend to contact the developers directly at the limesurvey IRC channel. Most of them don't watch the forum regularly.

hi Mazi,

thanks for the reply, i thought that the lack of info on this could be useful also for others in the forum rather than keeping it for the developers'.

i'll try the IRC channel, but for the rest of the forum, the advantage is a unified login which is also determined by the level of access already set in WP. hence not everyone will have the ability of editing or creating surveys in limes. the best would be to integrate the system, but as i said earlier, the compromise of maintaining two systems would be acceptable and by passing arguments to the login would make integration more seamless from the user point of view
