I would like for it to be possible for survey users to LOGIN to LimeSurvey in a more traditional way, with a page that has a login and password form.

Then it cookies this user and gives them access to view and modify the surveys they've taken in the past, or take new surveys that have been added.

When someone clicks on a survey invitation, say via an email promotion, they are taken to the survey, same as usual.

But if they are cookied from previously logging in, their survey response is automatically added to their account in the database.

Otherwise they are asked to enter their email address and desired password to register before hitting submit on their survey.

Is this already possible, and if not how difficult would it be for a programmer to make these modifications?

Thanks,
Sean

This isn't possible yet and is connected to a lot of work. The biggest problem will be to get into the LS1.x code to see WHERE you have to do the edits.

Right now we are working in LS2 which will be completely redisgned but is still in alpha mode. You can ask in the LS2 subforum if this will be available in the new version. I can't say for sure but something similiar was planned.

There is a "Ideas & Request" wiki page where you can add your LimeSurvey 2.0 wishes.

Beste Grüße/Best regards,
Mazi
