just joined the Lime Survey crowd a couple days ago, newest version, I imagine... tried to create a new survey, but can't enter text (description, questions, answers). Suggestions?

Hi, could you be more specific describing your problem. What error(s) (if any) you get. Some screen shots may be useful.

the basic steps are:
1- create survey and fill in all the windows situated on top of the choosen language..remember to do these first and then u save
2-Create at least one group
3-then create questions within the group

4- input any code then type the questions

choose a TYPE , this will defined the way the answers are going to be addressed,eg(yes/no)(mutiple choice) etc

then save.

Take time to read the manual, it helped me a lot as am new too. It's one of the best open source documentation I've come across so far.

Gents, appreciate the quick replies. My problem isn't how to create a survey, rather that I simply can't input text in several fields--in the attached file, for example, in the Description and Welcome fields, and (if I ignore that little problem) when adding questions.

Any further thoughts?

Very strange! Which browser are you using?

You can try to change the editor mode in config.php/config-defaults.php. Maybe this solves your problem.
